Electrician

Location: Kempston

We are currently on the lookout for Gold Carded Electricians to join our clients growing team based in Bedford!

This is a full time, permanent role, working 40 hours per week, and will involve travelling to various sites across the UK, and occasionally staying away, with any travel and accommodation costs being covered by the company.

Our client is a NICEIC-approved, family-run electrical contractor delivering high-quality installations across the UK, specialising in commercial refurbishment projects within the leisure and hospitality sectors. This includes but is not limited to pubs, golf courses, and hotels, as well as several education facilities and commercial office environments.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installations and testing works, ensuring compliance, safety, and exceptional standards throughout.

Key responsibilities include:

* Full electrical installations including containment, cabling, distribution boards, fixtures, and final terminations

* Electrical testing, EICRs, fault finding, and remedial works

* Leading projects onsite and supervising team members where required

* Liaising effectively with other engineers, site managers, and clients

* Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, to the highest standard and within budget

* Completing all required certifications and documentation accurately

* Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, RAMS, and manufacturer instructions

* Maintaining clean and organised work sites with clear completion reporting

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

* ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician)

* City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing)

* Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 3 points)

* Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations & EWR 1989

* Willingness to travel and work away when required

* 5+ Years’ Supervisor Experience (Desired)

Salary & Benefits

 * £20 – £22 per hour (dependent on experience)
