Building Transformation is a niche external building fabric access and maintenance company based in Bedford, working predominantly in the Southeast. We are looking for an experienced Leak Detection Engineer with experience in leak detection, roofing, waterproofing, façade, cladding and/or building envelope investigations.

Your role at a glance

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll deliver high‑quality roof maintenance, inspections, and repairs across a range of client sites.

You will
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of roofing, waterproofing, façade, cladding, and building envelope systems.
  • Develop competency in Electronic Leak Detection equipment and specialist testing methodologies.
  • Assist with detailed condition surveys, forensic investigations, and technical reporting when required.
  • Support complex leak investigations involving roofing, façade, and cladding systems.
  • Support fault diagnosis on recurring or difficult-to-trace water ingress issues.
  • Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and as‑built information where required.
  • Identify and report opportunities for additional works, upgrades, remedial projects, or maintenance contracts.
  • Support client satisfaction and retention through quality and safe service delivery.
  • Maintain awareness of cost‑effective investigation methods and remedial solutions.
  • Contribute to achieving service delivery targets and business performance KPIs for team bonus allocation.

You will have or bring
  • Experience producing technical survey reports and recommendations
  • You must hold the IPAF Licence
  • A valid CSCS card
  • PASMA Certification
  • Working at Height certification
  • Experience using Electronic Leak Detection equipment
  • Knowledge of CWCT testing methodologies
  • A full UK driving licence
Hours

40 per week, Monday to Friday.
