Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable Independent Garage in Bedford, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their professional workshop team. • Basic salary of up to £45,000, dependent on experience
• Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (no weekends)
• Long-term, stable employment maintaining national fleet contracts

• Diagnosing faults accurately using manufacturer standards
• Servicing and repairing a variety of vehicles, mainly cars, with occasional vans
• Conducting MOTs (if MOT Licence held) and recording vehicle conditions comprehensively
• Maintaining current repair and maintenance records
• Ensure safety, reliability, and performance standards are met during all work performed
• Assist in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship

• NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a workshop environment
• Time-served Vehicle Technicians without formal qualifications are welcome to apply
• Valid MOT Licence (desired but not essential)
• Own tools necessary for the role
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Professional attitude and team-oriented approach
