Kitchen Fitter – Bedfordshire – Up to £40,000 + Excellent Benefits
Kitchen Fitter required for a leading Housing Association in Bedfordshire. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Kitchen Fitter looking for long-term stability, excellent benefits and the opportunity to work across a well-established social housing contract.
The Role
As a Kitchen Fitter working across Bedfordshire, you'll be responsible for carrying out kitchen installation, repairs and maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out responsive kitchen fitting, repairs and maintenance across social housing properties in Bedfordshire.
Installing and replacing kitchen units, cupboards, doors, drawers and worktops.
Fitting sinks, taps and associated kitchen components where required.
Installing kitchen appliances and ensuring units are correctly aligned and securely fitted.
Repairing and replacing damaged kitchen units, worktops, doors and fittings.
Carrying out kitchen refurbishments and replacement programmes in occupied and void properties.
Completing associated carpentry and joinery works, including adjustments to units, doors and worktops.
Making good around kitchen installations and ensuring properties are left clean, safe and ready for occupation.
Responding to repair orders and completing works within agreed timescales.
Working professionally in tenants' homes while providing a high standard of customer service.
Identifying additional works and reporting any defects requiring follow-on trades.
Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this Kitchen Fitter role in Bedfordshire, you'll need:
Proven experience as a Kitchen Fitter within domestic repairs, maintenance or refurbishment.
Experience installing kitchens within occupied or void properties.
Social Housing experience is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of kitchen installation, repairs and responsive maintenance.
Good carpentry and joinery skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Full UK Driving Licence and the ability to travel across Bedfordshire.
