Required Qualifications- Minimum 3 years of paid, professional in-home childcare experience
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers
- Strong, verifiable professional references
- Current Pediatric and Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certification from a nationally recognized provider (must include in-person skills assessment; fully online certifications are not accepted)
- 5+ years of professional nanny experience
- Experience supporting families with complex schedules
- Background in early childhood education or child development
- Experience guiding newborn-to-toddler transitions within one family

All nannies placed through Matron of Family hood are employed directly by the hiring family as W-2 household employees.
The hiring family serves as employer of record and is responsible for payroll, tax withholding, unemployment, workers' compensation (where applicable), supervision, and benefits.
Compensation, schedule, guaranteed hours, and employment terms are negotiated directly between the nanny and family prior to hire.
Matron of Family hood facilitates introductions but does not supervise or employ nannies after placement.
Screening ProcessOur screening process may include application review, interviews, professional reference checks, and background screening conducted with candidate consent and in accordance with applicable law. Final hiring decisions are made solely by the family.
Work AuthorizationCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The hiring family completes employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) in accordance with federal law.
