OVERVIEWWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract & Compliance Specialist to support the Director of Contracts and Compliance and the Legal Department for a fast-growing natural gas distribution company. This role plays a critical part in supporting contract management, document control, and regulatory compliance functions across the organization.
This position will work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory agencies to ensure contracts are properly prepared, documented, and maintained while supporting overall compliance requirements. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a collaborative and growing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and executing contracts and legal documents
Support contract management processes including tracking deadlines, obligations, and performance requirements
Maintain organized contract documentation and recordkeeping systems
Coordinate communication with internal departments and external contract counter parties
Assist with regulatory communication and documentation when required
Draft correspondence and support documentation for legal and compliance activities
Monitor and track contract compliance requirements and key deadlines
Provide general administrative and operational support to the Legal Department
Assist the Director of Contracts and Compliance with various projects and initiatives
MUST HAVES3+ years of experience in contract administration, legal support, compliance, or a corporate legal department
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience reviewing and working with contracts or legal documents
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Comfort communicating with internal stakeholders and external partners
Flexible, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
