Overview

The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models the organization’s vision, mission and values to support an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes.
- Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
- Perform procedures, monitoring or other functions as ordered by the medical provider and document care in the patient chart in a timely and thorough manner.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating needs.
- Educate patients, families and caregivers about the medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures; translate complex medical terminology as needed.
- Educate on non‑medicinal follow‑up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepare patients and families for future self‑management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- RN — Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree
- Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or TNCC Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- No travel required
- 1 year of experience required
