Role Description The Veterinary Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Bee Cave, TX. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures, providing direct animal care, and monitoring patients in emergency and specialty settings. This role involves preparing and maintaining exam rooms, handling and restraining patients safely, administering medications under supervision, and supporting anesthesia and surgery. The Veterinary Technician will also update medical records, communicate with clients about patient status and home care instructions, and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Animal Care and Pet Care skills, including safe handling, monitoring, and basic nursing support.
- Candidates should possess Veterinary Technology skills, such as sample collection, laboratory testing, equipment use, and accurate medical record-keeping.
- Candidates should possess Anesthesiology-related skills, including patient preparation, monitoring under anesthesia, and post-operative care under veterinary supervision.
- Candidates should possess Client Education skills, including clear communication of discharge instructions, home care, and preventive health guidance.
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) or equivalent experience preferred; experience in emergency or specialty practice is a plus.
- Ability to work 24/7 hospital shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong teamwork, emotional intelligence, and resilience in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and veterinary practice software.
