Admissions Analyst
Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Analyst is responsible for providing customer service to prospective students, processing admission applications and advising applicants on the use of online applications tools. The Admissions Analyst creates, maintains and organizes files and student records using an imaging system and University student system software, communicates directly with applicants providing support through all stages of the admissions cycle, and supports the Office of Admissions with data requests and other administrative support duties.
Experience with Ellucian Banner and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems is highly desired.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Regularly creates and maintains enrollment funnel, document tracking, and other reports as requested for the Director of Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator based on data available in the college's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, Banner information system, and other relevant programs
- Processes applications for admission, enters appropriate data, accurately updates files for applicants, and serves as the office's primary reviewer of duplicate records
- Compares and analyzes all submitted documents to determine admission eligibility based on the college's standards
- Communicates directly with applicants to advise them of their eligibility status, remedial action necessary to qualify for admission, need for additional information, or to provide requested information
- Confers with students concerning admission procedures, housing facilities, fees, academic advisors, and degree requirements, and directs prospective students to other college staff members for additional information. May occasionally require serving students outside of regular office hours and at off-site locations
- Initiates correspondence and the mailing of appropriate form letters, postcards, and other print materials based on the Admissions Office's communication plan
- Communicates with other educational and external institutions to obtain transcripts and other pertinent information and/or documents
- Updates manual and computerized applicant files as requested admission information is received and verified
- Supports the goals of the college's mission, vision and strategic plan, including other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions or Vice Chancellor for Student Services
Required Qualifications - Associate Degree and 12 to 18 months related experience, such as student/customer enrollment or intake processing, data entry, and records management.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Salary or Salary Range - $32,000 - $35,600
