Institutional Work Study - Classroom Monitor

SSS/Trio is seeking one Institutional Work Study student at 20 hours per week for the Summer 2026 term.

Duties include:

• Assist students with checking in and out using the Student Access Tracker login
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom ensuring that it is always ready to use
• Help prepare for upcoming SSS/Trio workshops and activities scheduled throughout the academic year

The ideal candidate should demonstrate responsibility, honesty, respect, and discipline. Effective communication skills are essential. Furthermore, the candidate must show initiative and build positive relationships with peers.

$11.00 per hour

This position will be subject to a pre‑employment criminal, sex‑offender registry background check. In cases where pre‑determined, an additional financial/credit history/background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment. Factors such as dates of the offense, seriousness and nature of the violation, rehabilitation and position applied for will be taken into account.
