High School Boys Basketball Assistant Coach / History Teacher

Beebe School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of High School Boys Basketball Assistant Coach / History Teacher for the  school year.

Beebe School District serves approximately 3,000 students and is committed to empowering all students for success through academic excellence, strong relationships, and a culture of continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will serve as a member of the Beebe High School coaching staff while providing high-quality instruction in secondary History courses. The individual selected will play a key role in supporting the development of student‑athletes and promoting the values of sportsmanship, character, accountability, and academic success.

• Assist the Head Boys Basketball Coach with all aspects of the basketball program.
• Support the development and implementation of practice plans and game preparation.
• Promote student‑athlete growth, sportsmanship, and academic achievement.
• Assist with offseason workouts, skill development, and program activities.
• Help supervise athletes during practices, games, and team travel.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.

• Teach secondary History courses in accordance with Arkansas Academic Standards.
• Develop engaging lesson plans and instructional activities that promote student learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and school improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.

• Valid Arkansas Teaching License or ability to obtain licensure.
• Appropriate certification in Social Studies/History or related content area.
• Coaching experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and stakeholders.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Beebe School District.

• Teacher contract based on district salary schedule.
• Coaching stipend provided according to district supplemental salary schedule.
