Institutional Work Study - Lab Assistant Life Science

The Biology department is seeking (1) Institutional Work Study student at 15 hours per week for the Fall 2026 & Spring 2027 terms.

Duties include:

Clean, organize, and restock lab materials (hand soap, paper towels, and gloves) Refill stains Clean counter tops and mop floors Setup and take down labs Prepare microbiology media

Salary: $11.00 per hour

Required Qualifications:

Must be dependable and responsible. Be able to work around cleaning and laboratory chemicals. Prefer prep room knowledge (use of scales, preparation of media/stains, label bacteria and wash test tubes.) Be available several days per week to assist in the lab.
