The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing less-experienced associates, and coordinating with contractors to maintain quality and compliance with regulations. The position requires expertise in multiple crafts, effective documentation, and adherence to safety standards.

The Senior Technician also provides hands-on training, supports continuous improvement efforts, and contributes to maintaining operational excellence across Walmart facilities.

Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.

• Inspect, diagnose, and document signs of wear, recommending repairs or replacements to prevent future issues.
• Utilize multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry to complete maintenance tasks.
• Lead and train less-experienced associates, providing hands-on instruction and overseeing work quality and safety compliance.
• Manage work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance.
• Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles following safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and warranty claims.

Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

• Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, and to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong leadership skills to oversee work of associates, provide hands-on training, and serve as job foreman on assigned sites.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies.
• Experience managing work orders, budgets, parts inventory, and contractor relationships.
• Capability to operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles in accordance with safety standards.

Option 1:
Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report. Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years. Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.

No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
