Qualifications- Must hold a valid High School Level License/Certification and/or should be willing to obtain a Workplace Specialist License.
- Ideal candidates will be certified to teach multiple levels of these graduation pathways.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and student engagement.
- Establish and maintain standards for student behavior in a climate that promotes fairness and respect.
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities to engage students in problem solving, creative and critical thinking and other activities that make subject matter meaningful.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to respond to student’s diverse needs.
- Collaborate with CTE Department Colleagues to design lessons reflecting the Indiana State Standards and Employability Skills Standards.
- Maintain accurate grade and attendance records.
- Use summative and formative assessments to guide instructional decision making.
- Communicate with parents, counselors, administration, or other appropriate school personnel to proactively solve student academic and behavior progress.
- Use available technology to support instruction.
- Is punctual and reliable in attendance and supervises students as assigned.
- Participates in professional development opportunities offered by the school corporation, and/or professional organizations.
- Follows Individual Education Plans, Behavior Supports Plans and/or 504 intervention plans to accommodate needs of students with disabilities.
