Primary Purpose
The Student Services Coordinator is a campus leadership position responsible for supporting student success through instructional coaching, student discipline, campus operations, safety, and student mentorship. Working collaboratively with the principal, assistant principals, counselors, instructional specialists, and teachers, the Student Services Coordinator helps foster a safe, positive, and academically focused learning environment where both students and staff can thrive.
This position serves as a coach and mentor to teachers by providing instructional support, modeling effective practices, and facilitating professional growth. The Student Services Coordinator regularly visits classrooms and provides constructive feedback but does not conduct formal teacher evaluations or supervise certified staff.
Qualifications- Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree required - Education/Certification:
Master's degree preferred - Valid Texas teaching certificate required
- Demonstrated leadership experience as a department chair, instructional coach, team leader, mentor teacher, instructional specialist, or in a similar campus leadership role preferred
- Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, classroom management, and student behavior supports
- Knowledge of Texas education laws, district policies, and best practices related to student services and campus operations
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
- Strong instructional coaching and mentoring skills
- Knowledge of adolescent development and effective behavior management
- Ability to analyze academic, attendance, and behavioral data to guide interventions
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with students and staff
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment
- Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience
