As a Classroom Teacher, the candidate will ensure that students receive appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

As a Defensive Coordinator, the candidate leads all defensive strategies, planning, and play‑calling, and is responsible for developing players, conducting practices, and analyzing opponent films to ensure high‑level performance. The Defensive Coordinator also organizes and leads defensive practices, drills, and position group meetings, calls defensive plays, and makes real‑time, in‑game adjustments during contests.

• Education/Certification:
  
  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with the required endorsements or training for the subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in athletics and the core academic subject area assigned.

• Knowledge of the core academic subject assigned.
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Ability to coach student‑athletes in the assigned sport.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• One year student teaching, approved internship, and equivalent coaching experience.
