Tax Manager

Lead the tax functions for the Asia Pacific region, overseeing governance, compliance, planning, and advisory across the region.

• Consolidate tax packs (ETR, cash tax, deferred tax, WHT, and TP adjustment) for Asian Pacific entities, supporting ETR analysis, Pillar 2 filing, and tax planning for other entities.
• Conduct international tax legislation and analysis, assessing tax positions and interpretations of our business models.
• Stay updated on new tax developments and ensure compliance with local rules and regulations.
• Evaluate the current international tax structure and recommend changes or planning ideas to optimize the structure.
• Drive and implement changes resulting from modifications to tax legislation.
• Contribute to tax awareness within the Asia Pacific region.
• Manage risk: follow up on litigation, tax audits, and health checks in the region (Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, etc.), identifying and assessing risks.
• Monitor reorganizations: identify opportunities, conduct feasibility analysis, and follow up on implementation.
• Business Tax Support: follow up on current operations with Financial Controllers and/or VAT Tax Experts or National Tax Managers; coordinate with tax advisers as necessary.
• Intragroup flows: review local files and maintain an APAC local file dashboard/tracking list, analyze Onestream fee scheme, and conduct VAT analysis of flows.
• Merger & Acquisitions: participate in due diligence, contract drafting, analysis of tax ramifications, build tax plans, purchase accounting, and integration operations.
• Organize tax training for other departments on tax topics.
• Contribute to Group Ethics & Compliance program by applying and respecting code of Ethics and Valeo’s policies.
