TEACHER
2026 - 2027 School Year
Responsibilities- Plan, organize and implement an instructional program that promotes learning for all students in an environment that is safe and conducive for learning.
- Supervise students in a variety of school-related settings.
- Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing classroom, school, and district expectations and procedures.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, assessments, and assignments.
- Establish, communicate, monitor and evaluate clear outcomes for students.
- Communicate and interact with students, parents, staff, and the community.
- Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.
- Provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of children.
- Strive to maintain and improve professional competence through ongoing professional development activities.
- Maintain and update all appropriate records in accordance with laws, district policies and school practices.
- Attend and participate in department/grade level, school, district and parent meetings and serve on special committees.
- Monitor the use and care of equipment, technology, materials, and facilities.
- Monitor progress of individual students and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Provide timely feedback on student progress to students and parents.
- Respond productively to change.
- Use relevant technology to support and enhance instruction.
- Maintain a safe and orderly in-person and/or digital learning environment.
- Support operational needs of the school through class coverage, duties outside the classroom, school-wide activities, and emergency/safety planning and practice.
- Work with students via digital platforms to provide direct instruction, provide feedback, assess progress, and personalize instruction as directed.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned, including in-person and virtual duties as applicable.
This is a full-time ten-month position. Salary range based on the FY 2026 - 2027 HCEA Salary Schedule for Certificated Teachers. Starting Salary: $57,225;
Maximum Earnings Potential $110,577.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Hold or be eligible for a teaching certificate from the Maryland State Department of Education.
Excellent communication with students, families/caregivers, and other stakeholders. Proficient with instructional technology and Microsoft Office Suite.
