Ready to use your expertise to help students with visual impairments thrive? Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired to support K-12 students in Bel Air, MD
, during the school year.
- Provide itinerant TVI services and consultation to students with visual impairments across K-12 campuses.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and deliver direct instruction in Braille, screen readers, low vision aids, and compensatory skills.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop accommodations and ensure students have access to the curriculum.
- Coordinate with school teams to manage caseload needs, including scheduling, progress updates, and accurate documentation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Visual Impairments, or Special Education
- Active Maryland Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Certification
- Prior experience providing direct and consultative services in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Braille proficiency strongly preferred
- Competitive Pay:
Earn $40.00 - $46.10 per hour
