Brown Deer Technology (BDT) is expanding its summer intern program for 2026. Interns will have the opportunity to work in a growing, cutting-edge engineering company developing innovative technologies for specialized computer processing applications and gain experience in the areas of computer programming, digital logic, and artificial intelligence. Interns will gain experience with technologies the company uses and develops, including RISC‑V processors and hardware‑software co‑design tools.

Over the summer, each intern will execute a well‑defined software or hardware design project related to ongoing research and development efforts in the areas of signal processing, artificial intelligence and edge computing.

We are seeking candidates in electrical engineering, computer science, and civil engineering with interests and experience that aligns with the technical focus of our projects. Successful candidates will benefit from having familiarity/experience in one or more of the following areas: computer programming (Python, C, C++), machine learning frameworks (Pytorch), digital hardware design (Verilog), and the use of field‑programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).

Brown Deer Technology provides products and engineering services for the development of advanced technologies with significant investments in research and development. Recent efforts include the development of a modular architecture for generally‑specialized RISC‑V processors targeting digital signal processing and artificial intelligence for edge computing integration.
