SummaryUnder the general supervision of branch management, perform various teller duties involving receipt and payment of cash, identification of member needs and recommendation of appropriate credit union products and services. Provide a high quality of member service in a consistent, courteous and professional manner. Cross‑sell APGFCU products and services. Observe all safety and security policies, Teller Performance Standards and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Daily Teller Duties- Process a variety of member transactions accurately and efficiently, including cashing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals, bond redemption, loan payments, cash advances, transfers and issuing monetary instruments.
- Set up cash machines and supplies for daily operations.
- Professionally and courteously greet members and process member transactions within established authority limits.
- Enter member transactions into software applications and handle transactions accurately, including performance expectations, accuracy guidelines, check and transaction authority limits.
- Accurately perform transactions and balance daily activities, including verifying all work before disbursing to members, reviewing transaction data to avoid posting inaccuracies, using the system cash calculator, and communicating questions or problems to supervisor promptly.
- Perform teller and branch settlement activities, including processing night deposit transactions, verifying cash drawer, organizing work, completing tracking logs, reconciling fee and transaction entries, participating in branch end‑of‑day settlement, and assisting in ATM settlement.
- Protect member sensitive information and identify potential elder abuse, counterfeit bills, fraudulent checks and other scams.
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of credit union products and services and refer members to appropriate products or departments as appropriate.
- Meet performance expectations as outlined in our Teller Performance Standards.
- Perform other similar or related duties as directed.
- Must have a flexible schedule, be able to work Saturday hours and travel to other branch locations.
Responsible for completion of applicable training and compliance on federal regulations and APGFCU policies and procedures related to the duties of this position (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Information Security).
Qualifications EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
ExperienceMinimum six months of customer service required; six months of cash handling preferred.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of financial institution procedures preferred, basic principles of debits and credits, personal computer and software applications, business office equipment, commercial mathematics and data entry. Requires good interpersonal, organizational and oral communication skills. Must work effectively as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Offers are based on experience and education.
Salary$35,400 – $56,600 annually
