We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands on care to an individual with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Support Services professionals assist individuals and families living in their personal home.

Services provided are personalized and directed by the individual receiving supports and may include but are not limited to: assistance with personal hygiene, activities/outings, social engagement, and shopping.

Paid trainings, including CPR/First Aid.

DSP’s assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by:

• Assisting with participation and exploration of the community
• Cultivating and expanding independent living skills
• Assisting with development of meaningful and personal relationships
• Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals

Eligible candidates must have a high school degree/GED and a current driver’s license with less than three points on their driving record.

The hours for this position:
One weekend / month (5-16 hours/ month)

Support needed for a young man in Harford County. Staff should be outgoing and able to assist with being active, learning new skills exploring his community and finding fun things to do. Use of your personal vehicle to provide transportation within the community is required for this position.

This position requires the use of personal cell phone for mobile punching and documentation.
