Job DescriptionThe Owl Media Technical Advisor provides technical support as needed for Owl Media.
Duties include:
- Providing technical support with Owl Media's web site and social media platforms
- Providing technical training on shoots, during pre-production, and during post-production
- Providing insight on equipment orders, story selection, and other aspects of media production
- Additional duties unique to the position as assigned by the supervisor.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non‑residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
Required EducationHigh school diploma or GED equivalent and at least six college credits.
Required ExperienceCandidates must have at least 1 semester of Owl Media staff experience.
Equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience may be considered.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
- Working knowledge of MAC computers, website publishing and social media.
- Working knowledge of DSLR camera features, Adobe Photoshop, and other relevant computer software systems including Microsoft Office.
- Experience using Word Press and Premiere Pro
- Experience in photography and photo editing
- Experience creating and/or publishing content for social media.
