Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30), Every Other Weekend

We are seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery RN to provide patient care in our Family Birthplace unit, including LDRP and Special Care Nursery (Level II NICU). This role includes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care for neonates, infants, and adults. First-time travelers are welcome; 2 years of RN experience required.
Patient Ratios (per AWHONN standards):Triage: 1:4
Early Labor / Induction: 1:2
Active Labor / C-Section: 1:1
Postpartum: 1:4
RN license (MD state license required)
BLS, NRP
ACLS, STABLE, FHM, AWHONN (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced) – preferred
Provide comprehensive L&D care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum support
Monitor and manage maternal and fetal health, including high-risk cases
Assist and circulate for C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and emergency procedures
Neonatal care: APGAR scoring, resuscitation, radiant warmer management, newborn assessments
Administer medications including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, oxytocin, prostaglandins
Perform IV therapy, central line management, and blood product administration
Utilize EFM, IUPC, and other monitoring devices
Support breastfeeding and parent education, postpartum care, and baby-friendly protocols
Follow unit policies, isolation precautions, and safety standards
Unit Type: LDRP with Special Care Nursery (Level II NICU)
Beds: 32 (14 LDRPs, 9 overflow beds, 2 triage, 2 antenatal testing bays, 2 ORs & 2 PACU bays)
Average Deliveries per Month: 105
Interdisciplinary support: IV Teams, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, Transportation
