RN - NICU

Special Care Nursery RN (Family Birthplace) Location

Maryland, Bel Air, MD 21014

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12 Days (07:00 - 19:30) with every other weekend required.

The Special Care Nursery RN will provide care for preterm infants and newborns requiring specialized attention in a Family Birthplace setting. This position involves handling patients with various needs, including those requiring stabilization and transfer, supportive care, and medication administration for conditions such as NAS. Nurses will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and may be required to float within the specialty as needed.

• Attend deliveries and provide immediate newborn care, including Apgar scoring.
• Administer oxygen therapy, IV therapy, and medications.
• Conduct blood transfusions and UV line placements for extremely premature infants.
• Utilize special equipment for infant care, including IV pumps and enteral feeding pumps.

• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required; first-time travelers with strong NICU experience may be considered.
• Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact License.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, NRP, STABLE.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
