Work Schedule - Must be able to work nights. Nights and Days shift coverage 12 hour shifts - 7p - 7:30a
This role utilizes the nursing process to triage, direct and deliver psychiatric and mental health care to the population in the Crisis Center.
Minimum Knowledge,Skills And Abilities
- Education & Training: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required;
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Currently licensed RN in the state of Maryland. BLS certification is required. - Work Orientation &
Experience:
Two (2) years of previous nursing experience is required. Previous psychiatric nursing/mental health experience is preferred. - Skills & Abilities: Ability to: a) convey effective verbal and written communications; b) follow directions; c) organize and manage time effectively setting appropriate priorities; d) to make independent decisions consistent with current policies, procedures and nursing standards; e) perform simple mathematical functions correctly; f) adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the hospital, including all shifts; g) effectively function as a member of a collaborative team;
h) respond to emergency situations appropriately; i) perform lab draws and urine drug screens as ordered.

None.
- Sitting, Standing, Bending, Climbing, Reaching, Pulling, Pushing, Stooping, Walking
- Lifting: 0-25lbs, 26-50lbs, more than 50lbs
- Working with a computer terminal
- Exposure to substantial temperature changes
- Work in a confined space
- Work around high noise levels
- Contact with bodily fluids (blood borne pathogens)
- Exposure to infection, biochemical, hazardous waste
- Position requires use of protective equipment, including latex-free gloves
- Position requires travel between system locations (except in extreme emergencies)
