Charge Nurse
Job Requirements
Supports the daily operations of ICU/IMC units, oversees patient flow coordination, ensures adequate staffing levels, maintains budget adherence, and assists in preparing performance reviews. Holds full accountability and responsibility for the assigned unit on a 24‑hour basis.
Work ExperienceEducation & Training: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Currently licensed as an RN in the state of Maryland. Bachelors’ degree in Nursing is required;
Masters preferred. Certification in BCLS is required; ACLS certification is preferred. Nursing Administration or clinical certification preferred.
Work Orientation &
Experience:
Minimum three years of recent nursing experience in an acute care setting, including one year of Charge Nurse experience. Proven clinical competence and proficiency in the area of specialty is required.

- Prioritize work assignments and complete duties within prescribed time frames.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships and open lines of communication with a variety of people.

- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Plan, make decisions, delegate and coach.
- Manage effectively in a constantly changing, high‑pressure environment.
Full‑time days (7 am–7:30 pm). Pay range: $54.42–$81.64 per hour, depending on experience.
