Job Overview
Thrive Behavioral Health is hiring social workers and counselors with an active, unrestricted Maryland license (LCSW‑C, LCPC, LMSW, LGPC, LGDAC, LGPAT, LGMFT, or an equivalent license) to support the Harford County Early Intervention Program. The position is full‑time, year‑round (40 hours per week) with flexible scheduling and is based at the Bel Air Office, Bel Air, MD 21014. Some duties may be performed virtually.
Key Responsibilities- Provide behavioral support to students at risk of non‑public education routes in the Harford County school clusters and at students’ homes.
- Maintain active caseload list of Early Intervention students.
- Attend Interest Meetings with the Early Intervention team.
- Assist in program development and related tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of professionals and build positive relationships with school staff and families.
- Represent Thrive and its mission in a professional manner.
- Ensure that no more than seven clients are served at any given time, in support of a Thrive therapist aide.
- Work with a younger population, 3 years old and up, using multimodal intervention types.
- Active, unrestricted and independent license to practice in Maryland as a LMSW, LGPC, LGMFT, LCSW‑C, LCMFT, or LCPC.
- Preferred CPR/FFA certification.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, organizational theory, and regulatory requirements.
- Skill in designing and implementing therapeutic treatment plans and conducting regular therapy sessions with appropriate modalities.
- Professional readiness, including self‑awareness, ethics, and ongoing continuing education.
- Proficiency with PC software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to stay focused amid distractions.
- Ability to work independently in an unstructured, multi‑tasking environment.
- Strong data collection, analysis, and documentation skills, including use of DSM‑5 diagnoses.
- Capability to develop and revise treatment plans for children 3‑17 years including safety planning and crisis intervention.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with school staff and families.
- Hourly Rate: $42.19 for LG/LM licenses, $43.17 for LC licenses.
