Overview
As a property damage repair technician (official job title: Construction Technician) at SERVPRO® of Hampshire County, you will receive the best training the industry has to offer. Property damage can be a devastating event for a family or business to endure. You will be part of the solution for restoring people’s lives, putting businesses back in operation, and even restoring community infrastructure in the event of a regional disaster.
In this job, you will be engaging in activities required to make construction repairs to homes and businesses that have been damaged by water, fire, mold, or sewage after mitigation work has been completed. This will primarily include drywall replacement, prep, painting, and some carpentry. Tools and equipment will be provided.
Respond to service calls as needed. Perform property damage restoration (primarily from water, fire, and mold) services as assigned, following SERVPRO® production guidelines. Communicate with the crew chief to make sure all customer needs are met. Support the Crew Chief and other production personnel as needed. Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, warehouse, and office areas, as needed.

- Experience in cleaning/restoration is desirable
- High school diploma/GED
- IICRC certifications desirable but not required
- Ability to travel locally and out of state as necessary
- Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable laws
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Exposure to chemicals (in proper personal protective equipment)
- Walking and standing for long periods, driving, sitting, climbing
- Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
- Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces under buildings)
- Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects
