Special Education Instructional Assistant

Belen Middle School – Belen, New Mexico (2026/2027 School Year ONLY)

Provide support to special education teachers and students at Belen Middle School during the 2026/2027 school year.
Responsibilities- Assist classroom teachers with planning and implementing lessons for students with special needs.
- Help with transportation, classroom setup, and equipment management.
- Monitor student progress and document observations.
- Support individual student education plans (IEPs) during instructional time.
- Perform additional duties as required to support effective instruction.
- Level III Educational Assistant License (NMPED) required.
- No physical limitations that interfere with required lifting duties (e.g., students, equipment).
- Ability to perform physical duties associated with delivering services to special education students.
- Ability to meet essential job functions and task requirements outlined in this description.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
Full‑time
Salary$25,000 to $30,410 per year.
