Job DescriptionThe Campus Security Assistant helps maintain a safe, secure, and orderly learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position provides supervision of school grounds, enforces school and district policies, monitors student behavior, and responds to safety and security concerns in a proactive and professional manner. The position will work with the parameters of the site supervisor as well as the District Security Foreman.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, education, or working with youth preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergencies or high-stress situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and law enforcement.
- Basic knowledge of safety practices and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies and procedures.
- Valid New Mexico Driver’s License.
- Certificate of completion (or obtain within six months of hire) for:
- DOT - Defensive Driving Course
- FEMA IS-100.C:
Introduction to the Incident Command System - FEMA IS-700.B:
Introduction to the National Incident Management System - CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
- FA/CPR Certification
- Stop the Bleed
- DOT Physical
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $23,965 to $28,916 Per Year
