Dental Assistant​/Front Desk

What You'll Do
As a Dental Assistant/Front Desk, you'll help keep our Belfast, Maine office running smoothly by supporting both patient care and the front office experience. This role exists to make every visit efficient, accurate, and welcoming-from the first call to the final checkout.
Key responsibilities include assisting chairside during procedures, preparing and turning over rooms, sterilizing instruments, taking and processing X-rays as needed, scheduling appointments, answering phones and verifying basic patient information.


Required Qualifications /skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfort juggling tasks in a busy clinical setting
• Strong communication, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Reliable attendance for a Monday-Thursday schedule
• Dental assisting and/or front desk experience preferred (entry-level candidates welcome)

A Typical Shift
Your day follows a steady Monday-Thursday rhythm: you arrive, get oriented to the schedule, and connect with the team on what's ahead. You'll move between clinical and reception areas as patient flow changes, keeping interactions calm and organized. Throughout the day you'll balance quick check-ins, focused moments of patient support, and brief resets between appointments. By late afternoon, you'll help wrap up the final patient touches and ensure the office is set for a smooth start the next morning.
