As our next Director of Engineering
, you'll lead product development, research & development, quality assurance, testing, Lean initiatives, workflow improvements, and a talented engineering team. You'll partner with leadership across operations, production, purchasing, supply chain, and sales to drive meaningful innovation throughout the organization.

What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Leading engineering initiatives across the organization
  • Overseeing NFRC certifications and compliance with NAFS, AAMA/FGIA, and related industry standards
  • Managing air, water, and structural testing programs through both simulation and physical testing methods
  • Maintaining and improving product drawings, engineering databases, documentation, ECNs, SOPs, and quality control processes
  • Providing technical troubleshooting, quality assurance oversight, and support to internal customers
  • Driving research and development initiatives, including new product development, engineering reports, hardware testing, and service solutions

    Tracking R&D projects, costs, testing data, reports, and records to support operational and financial goals
  • Leading Lean manufacturing initiatives, workflow optimization, process mapping, time studies, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Partnering with teams across all locations to improve safety, ergonomics, quality, throughput, and efficiency
  • Developing, mentoring, and leading a team of 3-4 engineers while establishing clear goals and accountability
What Success Looks Like
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field
  • 4+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams
  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or similar engineering design software
  • Knowledge of NFRC, FGIA/AAMA, ASTM, IECC, and IRC standards and requirements
  • Demonstrated success managing projects from concept through implementation
  • Experience with thermal modeling, 3D printing technology, and CNC/G-code operations is highly desirable
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • The ability to inspire teams, drive continuous improvement, and deliver measurable results against key performance indicators
