Teller Position

This is a full-time, on-site Teller position at Bangor Savings Bank’s Belfast, ME location. The Teller will primarily handle customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, and other financial services, while ensuring accuracy and a positive customer experience. The role involves identifying customer needs, promoting relevant bank products and services, and adhering to compliance and security procedures. Tellers are also responsible for balancing cash drawers, maintaining records, and collaborating effectively with other team members to achieve branch goals.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to interact positively with diverse clientele.
• Solid problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring compliance and minimizing errors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to enhance customer interactions and promote services effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing tasks and goals.
• Prior experience in banking, retail, or customer service roles is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in finance or business are a plus.
• Proficiency with computers and ability to learn banking systems and software quickly.
