Overview
Waldo Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their HVAC team. This position will provide coverage for the Coastal Healthcare Alliance at Waldo Hospital and Pen Bay Hospital. A company vehicle will be used. The ideal candidate demonstrates experience in building and controls automation, refrigeration, and boiler training. Strong HVAC diagnostic skills and a well-rounded generalist approach to supporting the engineering department.
This position consists of 40 hours per week, day shifts. The position will include call rotation once orientation is complete.
ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Mechanic I role performs general duties in plumbing, electrical, mechanical and carpentry. Responds to maintenance emergencies, performs preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
QualificationsTrade school or equivalent training and experience required.
Certifications:
Boiler training certificate, or application submitted at time of hire required. State license as Boiler Operator required within 12 months of start date. Valid Driver's License required.
One year of related experience required.
