Position
RSU 71 is currently seeking a Bus Mechanic.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair the fleet of buses, pickups, and other vehicles and equipment.
- Perform general diagnostics and repairs on diesel and gas engines, electronics, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Use shop tools for heavy lifting and routine maintenance.
- Work in a shop environment and adhere to safety standards.
- Experience with diesel and gas engines, electronics, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and general diagnostics.
- Valid Maine Bus Driver’s License; bus inspection license is preferred.
- Own tools and ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Full‑time availability Monday–Friday.
Excellent benefits including insurance, sick leave, personal leave, and vacation time. Pay is based on experience.
