Dispatcher
The dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and coordinating deliveries, communicating with drivers and customers, monitoring delivery activities and ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time. This role is a key link between sales, drivers and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch delivery trucks and drivers according to customer orders and delivery priorities
- Coordinate daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transportation costs
- Communicate delivery schedules and updates to customers and contractors
- Verify order details, delivery locations, and any special handling requests
- Work closely with yard workers to ensure orders are pulled correctly for transfers
- Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT transportation regulations and safety procedures
- Coordinate with other locations on transfers/deliveries as needed
Experience with dispatch related activities and knowledge of lumber and building materials required.
This is not a remote position.
Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:00/5:00pm and rotational Saturdays 7-12:00
