F&B Assistant

With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining room, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day service within the Bar and Restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered and always maintained in line with our guest expectations. Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests. To be responsible for the service and wellbeing of our guests. To assist in the set up and closedown of the Bar & Restaurant.

Familiarise yourself with the menu and as much information about the food and beverage offering available in order to answer any questions guests may have. Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately. Ensure that the preparation and presentation of each section is of a high standard and is in line with the standards set.

Maintain a high standard of Restaurant and back of house cleanliness and hygiene practices. Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in line with agreed procedures Prepare all back of house service points with regard to expected numbers for breakfast, lunch or dinner requirements as necessary. Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments in the hotel.

Key Requirements Previous Food & Beverage experience, preferably within a hotel environment. Excellent customer service skills, standards driven, good organisational skills. Flexibility - to enjoy working different shift patterns and seeing the operation on different days of the week including the weekends. A warm and friendly personality. Good teamwork skills - we want work to be fun for all our employees.
