The RoleWe are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the property. This role is both hands-on and supervisory, responsible for overseeing daily operations, training staff, and maintaining a welcoming and well-kept environment across all guest and public areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including holiday lets and wedding accommodation, public spaces, laundry, and storage areas.
- Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to maintain consistent standards of cleanliness and service.
- Create and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage for operational needs.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties and public areas to ensure standards are met.
- Manage inventory to ensure timely ordering of cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment.
- Handle guest requests and complaints relating to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of new housekeeping staff.
- Maintain records related to housekeeping operations, including timekeeping, stock control, and performance.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial housekeeping role, ideally within hospitality or events.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining standards.
- Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in basic computer systems and housekeeping software (if applicable).
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
- Your own transport is essential as we are not on any bus routes
- 30-40 hours per week – Wednesday to Sunday
- Employed £13.00 – £17.00 per hour equivalent dependant on age and experience
