The RoleAs Night Manager, you will take responsibility for the smooth and safe operation of the hotel throughout the night. You will lead the night team, ensure exceptional guest service, maintain hotel security and safety standards, and ensure the property is fully prepared for the following day's operation.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced hospitality professional who is confident working independently, making decisions and providing leadership during the night.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the smooth operation of the hotel throughout the night
- Lead, support and motivate the night team
- Ensure exceptional guest service and respond promptly to guest requests and concerns
- Manage any incidents, emergencies or guest issues professionally and effectively
- Complete regular security, health and safety checks throughout the hotel
- Ensure all hotel procedures and company standards are followed
- Oversee the night audit and ensure financial and operational procedures are completed accurately
- Monitor hotel activity and address any maintenance or operational issues
- Ensure the hotel is clean, secure and prepared for the following day's operation
- Complete accurate handovers and communicate key information to the daytime management team
- Support the wider hotel management team with operational requirements
- Maintain a strong focus on guest experience, safety and hotel standards at all times
- Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality or customer service environment
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably within a hotel
- Confident working independently and taking responsibility for hotel operations overnight
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Calm and professional approach when dealing with challenging situations
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends and bank holidays as required
