Laboratory Technician
Based at our Thurso campus, the Laboratory Technician will provide high‑quality laboratory technical support for Research & Knowledge Exchange and its commercial, research and teaching activities. Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments and associated IT, preparation of sample materials, compounds and solutions, maintaining accurate records and undertaking field work when required.
Qualifications, Experience & SkillsThe successful candidate will hold a minimum qualification equivalent to HNC level plus approximately five years of relevant work experience. Candidates should have an understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures, working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures. Good oral and written communication skills, ability to plan and organise workload/tasks, and ability to work as part of a team are essential.
Compensation& Working Hours
Salary: £29,238 – £30,481 per annum

35 hours per week, permanent
