EQUANS are recruiting for an Multiskilled Operative to be based in Belfast. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, van and fuel card and benefits package.

General Overview

To provide a multi-skilled trade service, working on the allocated site. Assist the Site team with day to day running of the project. To carry out the duties as a Multi Skilled /Joiner in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. To assist the Site Manager in producing a quality product within the contract period and in a safe manner.

Adhere to all requirements set by SHEQ team, policy and strategy.

Key Accountabilities
  • Carry out various multi trade tasks to a high standard as instructed by the company including:
  • Grounds work
  • Carpentry/Joinery
  • Roof Works
  • Painting and Decorating
  • Assist with the adherence to the Company quality standards including:
  • Compliance with specification
  • Compliance with materials / workmanship schedules
  • Maintain and care for all company tools
  • To use appropriate safety equipment
  • To wear appropriate clothing / uniform
  • To ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day
  • Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc
  • Material co-ordination
  • Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant site-based documentation
  • Ensuring that the site is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • To be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy
  • To be responsible for holding keys for communal entrances, meter cupboards and allow access where appropriate
  • Load and unload deliveries
  • Any other reasonable management request

Who are we looking for?
Qualifications or

Required Experience:


Essential:
  • Previous trades experience
  • Valid CSR card
  • Up to date relevant industry related knowledge
  • Understanding of social housing/ local government
  • Up to date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Current and Valid Full & Clean UK driving licence

Please be advised that the successful candidate will be required to complete a Basic Access NI check prior to commencing employment.
