Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You will ensure effective delivery of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), reactive calls and additional small works, complying with all legal and regulatory requirements.
You will carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repair and installation of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, fire extinguishers and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and qualitative standards and maintaining accurate documentation and records.
Qualifications & ExperienceYou should have previous experience performing PPM, reactive calls and small works within the fire & security systems industry, including service tests and inspections to relevant standards/codes and fault‑finding techniques. You must be able to work to high levels of health and safety requirements, have experience with PPM, Accident Reporting or RAMS, and be able to follow health and safety legislation.
Additional qualifications include excellent communication skills, basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, the ability to work independently with little supervision, and a willingness to attend and participate in company‑initiated training to maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge.
