Plant Field Service Technician (Nationwide)

Rate: £19.05‑£22.35.

To provide nationwide field‑based maintenance, repair, and technical support for an extensive plant fleet, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant, and operational to agreed standards.

• Carry out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and support to a wide range of plant equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and planned maintenance across sites nationwide.
• Complete inspections, testing, and documentation in line with company procedures and safety standards.
• Liaise with plant managers, site teams, and suppliers to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health & safety and statutory requirements.

• Proven previous experience in a similar plant field service or mobile technician role.
• Competent to Plant Maintenance Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault‑finding skills.
• Experience maintaining a diverse plant fleet (e.g. construction, industrial, or hire equipment).
• Have a working knowledge of basic IT systems and applications.

• Clean, full driving licence (essential due to nationwide travel).
• Flexible approach to working hours and travel.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
