GDC Fire & Security is looking for a full-time Fire and Security Engineers to join our friendly team. We are based in Belfast.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Engineer to join a family run professional company.
This is a Permanent position, Monday to Friday. We will provide you with a company vehicle, company pension alongside a competitive salary, there are also further opportunities for overtime available through call-outs and work outside our normal working hours.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have demonstrable previous experience, technical skills, qualifications and knowledge of servicing (reactive and preventative) and installation and commission of Intruder and fire Alarm Systems, CCTV and access control.
The candidate must hold current qualifications, have a stable work history and a full UK driving licence. The candidate will also need to be well organised and deliver excellent customer service.
Skills- Technical knowledge of open and closed protocol; fire alarms Intruder Alarms, Access Control and CCTV.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for security systems, including networked/IP systems.
- Excellent communication skills with customers whilst carrying out works at customer sites.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a clean, tidy and professional work ethic at all times.
- Being able to interpret building plans and create systems as installed and zone plans.
- Defect report and rectification
- Completion of company documentation
- Effective planning and management of work.
- Supervision and personal development of trainees.
- Adhering to Health & Safety requirements.
- Vehicle care and maintenance.
- Possess a full UK driving licence. (clean licence and over the age of 25)
- Possess electrical knowledge.
- Pass a DBS & security checks.
- Have a proven background through an apprenticeship or similar qualification.
- Have the ability to use hand tool and power tools.
- Sub contractors will also be considered.
Please note:
As per new BAFE requirements Level 3 NVQ for fire detection is required if you do not possess this you must be willing to work toward and pass qualification.
