This role can be based at any of our construction sites across the UK, including our satellite sites, providing flexibility to suit business needs.

We welcome applications from complete steel erection gangs (1 x Foreman, 2 x Erectors, 1 x Trainee), with crews able to travel together in a shared van to site.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Steel Erector to join our Commercial & Industrial Construction Division. Positions are Site-based and will travel around from project to project. This could be in the UK or overseas.

Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.

The division has manufacturing sites in three locations:
Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market!

We’re looking for experienced Steel Erectors to join our team, working on projects across the UK.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for erecting steel structures in line with RAMS method statements, as directed by the Foreman. You’ll also follow risk assessments, lift plans, permits, and company procedures to maintain the highest standards of safety and quality.

• Erect steel as directed by the Foreman.
• Follow and implement relevant company procedures on-site.
• Check all electrical equipment before use and complete relevant check sheets.
• Adhere to site working hours, shift patterns, and break times.
• Carry out only tasks for which you are appropriately trained.
• Work as part of a team, maintaining squad morale, productivity, and professionalism.
• Check all plant equipment and PPE before use, ensuring it is fit for purpose and documented correctly. Report any damage immediately to the Foreman or site management.
• Collaborate with your squad to overcome work challenges and meet project deadlines.

• Previous experience as a Steel Erector
• Valid CSCS Card
• NVQ Level 2 or 3
• Comfortable working at heights
• Strong health and safety awareness
• A team player with a positive attitude and a focus on squad morale and productivity
