Day Maintenance Supervisor

• Undertake or supervise the delivery of day‑to‑day planned and reactive workload or provide technical expertise.
• Undertake or supervise all prioritised and planned maintenance work, ensuring that tools, parts and materials are fit for purpose and production downtime is minimised, whilst upholding and exceeding safety standards.
• Manage direct reports ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
• Ensure store systems are maintained to the highest standards and critical parts are available.
• Ensure plant and equipment on site are modified and improved to maximise availability and performance whilst meeting production demands.
• Supervise contract work on site, ensuring they work to agreed timelines and within scope.
• Undertake or supervise engineering project work and assist with new installations or refurbishments.
• Have an active involvement in RCA of equipment and subsequent improvements.
• Provide engineering expertise to production teams and advise decisions.
• Deputise for the Maintenance Manager when absent from site.

Initial expectations:

• Completed apprenticeship with related work experience.
• Strong technical knowledge and hands‑on experience of maintenance processes/activity.
• Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft 365.
• Experience applying Health, Safety & Environmental procedures.
• Demonstrable achievements in Continuous Improvement, Change Management and related tools; motivation to share with others.
• Proactive mind‑set and good planning skills.
• Fluent communication in English.
• Independent, organised, proactive.
• Effective team player, meeting deadlines.
• Assertive, self‑confident in presenting and supporting conclusions, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
