Job Overview

Suited for Light vehicle Technicians, Plant equipment Technicians or Agricultural equipment Technicians to join our training from other industries programme. Scania GB is offering a conversion programme to Technicians from the Light vehicle, Plant or Agricultural sector. This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to convert their current skills and train to become a Scania HGV Technician.

Salary: Starting from £33,363 per annum – £16.04 per hour.

Start Date: 07/09/2026 (not flexible due to the training schedule).

Working Hours: Discussed upon application.

Program details:
The programme will be a mixture of on‑site mentoring and bespoke training at the brand‑new Scania UK Learning Academy. You will be partnered with experienced Scania technicians, observe and shadow while on site, and benefit from bespoke Scania training covering six key modules that span product knowledge through to maintenance and inspection theory. You will also receive industry‑recognised IRTEC qualification and a Scania Roadside Assistance qualification.

• The desire to utilise current experience and convert to the Heavy Vehicle industry.
• An apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent may be considered).
• A minimum of three years hands‑on mechanical experience.
