We are now looking for a Yard Operative to join our growing business and become a key part of our day‑to‑day operations.

The Role

This is a hands‑on position where no two days are the same. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the yard operates efficiently, safely, and accurately, while delivering an outstanding level of service to everyone who visits our site.

Experience in the roofing industry is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. What matters most is the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and pride in doing the job properly.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe yard environment
  • Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and on time
  • Load delivery vehicles and customer collections from picking notes
  • Receive deliveries, check stock, and store materials correctly
  • Carry out stock checks and report shortages or damages
  • Use forklifts safely in line with company procedures
  • Ensure customers and suppliers receive a professional, efficient, and friendly service
Qualifications

A forklift licence and previous yard or building materials experience would be an advantage but are not essential.
