Pe gasus Classic Engineering specialises in the restoration, preparation, and operation of historic racing cars from the 1950s to the present day. Our team boasts over 80 years of racing experience across various prestigious platforms, including Formula 1, Le Mans, and GT racing.
We’re seeking an experienced and detail-driven race car mechanic with a minimum of four years’ experience in classic car restoration and race preparation. Race team experience is beneficial, but not essential. A strong understanding of light fabrication and welding is preferred.

What You’ll DoPreparing race cars for UK and European events
Carrying out full ground-up rebuilds and restorations
Gearbox rebuilding
Fibreglass bodywork fitting and assembly
Attending race meetings and test days across the UK and Europe
Who You areMinimum 4 years’ experience in classic car restoration and race preparation
Race team experience is an advantage, though not essential
General knowledge of light fabrication and welding preferred
A meticulous perfectionist with a strong eye for detail and a passion for historic motor sport
Reliable, organised, deadline-driven, and able to follow precise instructions
Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
Keen to develop new skills and thrive as part of a successful, supportive team
Full UK driving licence (CE certification preferred, or willingness to train)
Working HoursFull-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm.
Weekend work will be required to support UK and European race events.
Competitive and negotiable, based on experience.
Applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of our Lutterworth facility.
